Geraldine F. Graves
June 27, 1943 - June 21, 2009
Geraldine "Geri" F. Graves,65, of Morgantown, WV, formerly of St. Louis and Cape Girardeau, MO entered into eternal rest at 7 p.m. Sunday June 21, 2009 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown,WV with her daughter Rene at her side. She fought the battle with CNS Lymphoma.

She was born Sunday June 27,1943 in Washington,D.C., a daughter of the late Francis and Lile Fitzhugh.

Before retiring in 2005, Geri owned and operated Rose of Broadway in Cape Girardeau,MO where she served breakfast and lunch for seven years. She loved to bake cinnamon rolls and Danish pastry.

She enjoyed flower and vegetble gardening and reading about astrology and spiritual subjects.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Jim Graves.

Geri's survivors include three children ,daughter: Rene Stutler of Morgantown, WV;sons: Gerald Lawrence of King George,VA and James Graves of St. Louis,MO; two granddaughters: Adrienne and Tiffany Stutler both of Morgantown, WV; one sister; one brother;one aunt; two nieces; four nephews; two cousins and sixteen great nieces and nephews.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Friends will gather in her previous hometown of Cape Girardeau on her birthday, Saturday June 27 for a luncheon and celebration of her life.

A memorial trust is set up for her youngest son James Graves who has Autism. Funds may be sent to United Bank; P.O. Box 2038, Westover, WV, 26502.

Thank you to Drs. Auber, Hogan and Altaha and the residents who assisted with her diagnosis and care.Thanks to the Skilled Nursing Unit for their compassion and nursing care.

Geri's motto in life was "Live, Love and Laugh".
